And the Oscar goes to...

Did anyone watch the Oscars on Sunday? They are so incredibly boring. I used to love watching them as a kid, I begged my parents to let me stay up to watch them, but now... BORING. Hugh Jackman made a decent host though. I wouldn't turn him away next year. I think the entertainment part could have been so much better than a lip-syncing Beyonce.

I give props to Hugh and Anne's, Frost/Nixon musical event. It was interesting. Slumdog Millionare so did not deserve to win 8 awards. It didn't deserve 2 nods for best song either, that's like a giveaway.

I wanted more sets for you guys today but I haven't had time to collect images. Please, Please, Please donate for us. I could get so much done if you could help out and send a few sets. 25-30 clear images is all I need for a deck, they MUST be screen caps, and they must be in order. That's it.

Okay, So we are finally open. I'm not totally prepared for this, but I know a lot of you are getting antsy. I probably won't be able to update as much as I'd like. But I won't know until I try. Right?!?

I'm still looking for staff... I need someone who can help making cards, and someone who can work on games and their updates. If I can't find anyone to help, you may start finding patches of my hair all over the place... I swear I might end up pulling it out.

Anyhoo... I tried to find my piece of paper that I had with all the newly made sets, but it's been awhile and I think I threw it out, so I tried to remember all the sets that I made by scanning files. *Fingers Crossed*

And one card from each of the letters in O P E N I N G (none from your collecting deck, and no more than 2 cards from the same deck)

I'll have the forums back up asap so you can send in donations and collect cards you may have forgotten about. Starter packs have been sent out, so If you joined before today you can take cards from past updates. Anyone who joined only on this date, only gets cards from this update.

Okay and finally all the games are up, I think some of them were opened for prejoin, and I forgot to reupdate them, but it's okay. Play again. lol Some of the games aren't playable yet, but that's okay too. Theres always quirks when a TCG opens.

Dear Members,
If any of you are members of Cliques, you know of my decision to place it on a Hiatus. Unfortunatly with Popcorn, I can't do that because it was never really opened. So, instead I am making the choice to hold back the opening of Popcorn until I can commit myself to it. I need personal time, I need to free myself up a bit. A lot of you probably think I had no intention of opening Popcorn in the first place. But really I did.

I worked myself steadly to come up with a new layout (spoiler: it's high school musical 3) a bunch of new card decks (you can see those in the side panel) and a bunch of games. Amy and I worked together on those. Just recently a lot of members left due to school worries. "Not enough time to study and play in tcgs" so I know most of you can understand my reason for putting a tcg on hiatus.

I was sick recently, and Amy as well so neither of us felt like doing much. Both of us mentioned feeling in a little rut with the tcg world. We need time to express ourselves in other ways. I have no intention of leaving Popcorn forever, I will come back. I put too much time and effort into this tcg to close it.

Amy and I will remain active in our duties on the forums. The Halloween event for Popcorn will remain open and I have full intentions on posting your tricks or treats on Halloween as planned. Meanwhile forums will remain open and will serve as a message board on upcoming events (nothing big) and hopefully weekly freebies for all of you that plan to remain viable in the slow down of Popcorn. I will discuss the possibility of opening some forum activities with Amy for all of you to take part in. So you dont feel left out.

So, I'm sure you guys have questions by now, and of course I have the answers, really there's no excuses except life is busy as always. With my internet hours there's always a lot of other things I have to do. Sometimes I get bored to. But The other day I worked on the games for popcorn, they are all set up and will be ready for you to play come the opening of Popcorn yay.

Forums now have Lotto & Trade Cards. You can start using the trade cards whenever you wish to. Just make sure you trade reasonably.

We also have a new currency which is worth less than the plain popcorn, but it can be used at the concession stand (eventually) and for the popcorn auctions once they are set up. For now you can check out the Prejoin section in the forums for your chance to stock up on these little kernels.

I'm so sorry it's been so long guys, I have been physically and emotionaly drained lately. I've been working on too many things at once here. When I have online time I have been using it sparingly. I find myself wanting to curl up with a good book instead. Know what I mean?

The Happy news is that I have been working on card decks for popcorn I have about 10 done and I'm looking to get another 10 thrown out before I officially open. I also have lotto cards and trade cards made. Those will be up soon.

Right now, I'm not at home so I can't do the things I would like to do right now. This makes me sad, but these are the things I have to learn to deal with. It's not devistating though... I will be back home on Monday and after updating Cliques for it's usual Monday night update I will start working on Popcorn.

So, since it's friday and the weekend you may take One Card from only Three of the letters in F R I D A Y. And please remember to comment. You may only have One Card from your collecting deck.
